I know a lot of you heard about the difficult experience we had last summer. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Things appear to be going a lot better this time, as we expect our 3rd child around the 17th of February!

And things are going a whole lot better already. We had a certain ultrasound test done today that came back great. It was the warning sign something was very wrong last time.

Congratulations! That is awesome news!!

I was not aware of your previous loss. You have my deepest sympathies. Losing a child is something no parent should endure. My wife and I had twins, and our daughter died at 3 months. Our son is still with us, happy, and healthy. We just planted some new flowers at the cemetery this weekend, and I’ve had a hard time sleeping ever since.

Well we waited a whole year before the 3rd pregnancy. The 2nd one didn’t make it (as represented by her Bear) so we’ll be at 3 kids, 2 living. We plan on stopping there.

Awesome, man, congrats! I’m very thrilled to know you kept trying after last summer, I don’t know if I could do it. But most people I know who have gone through similar situations have kept pressing on and are very glad they did. (OTOH, my grandmother lost #4 and #5, then sank into a deep depression that lasted the rest of her life. I can’t even imagine.)

It’s very, very difficult to try again but we’re hoping to have a much happier outcome this time. It was tough walking into the ultra sound center this morning after that being the center of bad news last time around.

Sorry, I hadn’t caught that. We had a miscarriage with our first. After that, every sonogram was a panic situation for me until I heard the heartbeat. We’ve got three years between ours. It’s almost too much, but it works.

YES! It’s a good reason!

I’m selling it to buy a car for RallyX. I love the Montego but I’m never going to be able have as much fun in the Montego as I would driving something in RallyX.

All I can think is if the Milan was that much fun I can’t imagine how much fun something that’s better suited to the job would be.

Yeah we’ll be at about 4 years between our living children. But we’ll make it work. We’ll find a way I’m sure. The first one is a really good kid so I think he’ll be great with a little one around.

Oh yeah, one a month all within 2 hours. Racing the Milan again next weekend so expect another race re-cap sometime after the 20th (probably the 22nd).

I’m going to get more use out of the Rally car than I am the Montego and have more fun with it. Plus I’ll get my 3.5 year old involved in it as soon as I can.

Definitely, the OPPO bonds run deep.

We had friends who lost their son at 9 months, basically just before delivery. This kind of loss leaves scars that just don’t heal quickly, if at all, and every set of parents have to work through the pain in their own way. We had a daughter right around the same time, and we just were so uncertain how to comfort them. We wanted to be there for them, but we also knew that every time they saw our daughter it would be a reminder of the son they lost. My wife stayed too distant because of this, and had to ask for forgiveness for it years later. Since the loss of their son, they’ve gone on to adopt 4 (!) more kids (in addition to the 4 they had!). They’re one of the most incredible, loving, giving families I know. I’m so thankful that they were able to turn the pain from their loss into such joy, and work such incredible change in the lives of the four children they adopted.

WHOA that’s a lot of kids (Even without the adopted ones!). That sounds like an incredible family and I’ll be 100% honest when I say I don’t think I have it in me to handle that many.

Yeah it’s a really delicate balance approaching the subject and there’s no right answer.

We like talking about our daughter, it only helps us. That’s why her bear was in her place in the picture. My wife was hurt a few times by people hanging out with us shortly after who didn’t even bring her up I had to try and explain to her they just didn’t know how and they really just didn’t want to make it worse.

Like I said, there’s just no right answer.

There were some dark moments, I can’t lie, but we both got ourselves to a better place before going for a 3rd. We’re really happy and excited for our 3.5 year old to have a sibling he can play with!
